Artificial intelligence has become a buzzword in digital marketing, and with it has come a new phrase: AI-optimized websites. While it sounds cutting-edge, the idea itself is largely misleading.

There is no separate category of website optimization designed specifically for AI. The same fundamentals that have always driven strong search visibility apply to AI. In other words, if a website is well built for search engines and users, it is already optimized for AI by default.

AI Did Not Create a New Rulebook

AI platforms do not crawl the web independently or apply their own proprietary ranking systems to websites. They rely heavily on existing sources of structured information.
